{"id":1405,"date":"2025-11-06T15:44:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T23:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cascadeparkestates.com\/?p=1405"},"modified":"2025-11-06T15:45:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T23:45:47","slug":"effective-zoning-protection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cascadeparkestates.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/06\/effective-zoning-protection\/","title":{"rendered":"Effective Zoning Protection"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Since August 19, 2025 our park, along with all other manufactured and mobile home communities in un-incorporated Clark County is under a moratorium on redevelopment to another use. However, this currently is just a temporary measure designed to give county staff and councilors time to develop ordinances and regulations that permanently protect residents from arbitrary displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The public hearing on the emergency ordinance held October 14th was well attended by representatives of Cascade Park Estates as well as some other parks. Those Councilors present voted unanimously to support the effort for protective zoning. The Planning staff indicated they would proceed with the necessary steps to bring the stated policies into proposed laws. But, cautioned that since the state mandated Comprehensive Plan Update would take precedence, it would likely be longer than the allowed six months to bring forth final regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This is an excerpt from the county\u2019s website:<br><em>\u201cEach year, typically in late fall, Community Planning reviews the next year\u2019s work plan with the Clark County Council. The goal is to focus limited resources on the community\u2019s highest priorities, and to use those resources as efficiently as possible while creating the best chances for each effort to succeed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This year\u2019s Community Planning\u2019s Work Plan was approved by County Council on March 5, 2025.
